Once the customer called us with a problem. This problem was that the computer from time to time threw out the "blue screen" error for nVideo GTX 550TI video card driver. That could occur several times during the day but at the same time no regularity was observed. At the usual question, when has the computer been professional cleaned for the last time, heard the answer - about a year ago. So the problem was deeper. We will need to check memory, disk, stability during stress test of the video card and the system in general. That is what the client was informed about.
Post code was typed in Sat-Nav and went to pick the computer up. The client did not need to look for transport and did not waste the time on something that would bring the computer serviced. Like in our offers on the site
When we brought this computer in the workroom (it was HP P6 109uk), at first it was fully checked and tested but everything had gone in 100% correct. Well, that meant not so bad but on the other side no so good because we still should find where problem is. Next we looked through the system event logs, but found nothing of interest. Well, that will have to dig deeper.
We began to take out the insides and was surprised that all so covered by dust after the last repair. That did not look quite normally. After removing of the processor, we assumed that no one especially did clean the computer.
Having examined the card, once again convinced that the computer is actually requires the professional cleaning with a guarantee, rather than an amateur approach.
We cleaned this computer, video card (this is a separate issue), changing the thermal paste wherever necessary, then assembled and once again tested the stability of the system as a whole. Everything worked 100%.
Then we reinstalled the system and extended the memory up to 8Gb at the client's request.
When the client got the computer back it was informed that the computer comes with the guarantee on repair.
Two weeks later we called to client and asked it about the computer. The client did not observe any failures after the repair, was pleased with no expensive but high-quality work.

Before you would like give your computer in for repair by non-professionals or try fix it by self, hoping to save money, you think about whether to spend time and money sometimes at the risk of making things worse.
